Our latest project was an entry door replacement for our client on Curry Crescent in Georgetown, ON. This comprehensive task was commissioned by the client to enhance their home security and curb appeal with a new, durable yet stylish entry door.
In the initial consultation involved discussing with the client their requirements and preferences before they ultimately decided that a custom-shaped fiberglass door would be the best option with two sidelights. This door model would perfectly match the property aesthetics with an elegant appearance while providing upgraded security due to the MP lock.
Challenges and Solutions
During this project, we encountered a number of challenges, but we were able to provide effective solutions.
Challenges:
The main challenge for this project was that the original door frame needed to be modified to accept the custom-shaped door with two sidelights. We experienced unexpected rain, which caused some delays and forced additional precautions, so we could ensure that the home’s interior remained protected during the installation. It was crucial that we ensured a perfect sidelight fit while maintaining the alignment and functionality of the door, particularly since the custom design was entirely based on the client’s preferences, so we wanted the finished result to perfectly match the client’s vision.
Solutions:
Our team of skilled installers modified the door frame carefully to ensure it was not only structurally sound, but perfectly aligned to accommodate the new door and sidelights. We worked in stages using weather resistant coverings to minimize the exposure to rain to keep the interior of the home secure and dry throughout the installation. The team measured and adjusted the door and sidelights meticulously to ensure a seamless integration and flawless performance.
